Raise them on Re-Bop. Because life is full!

Art, music, story, humor, all wrapped up with Re-Bop ribbon ‘n’ bow

"Re-Bop releases have education at the core — they’re about being able to connect with self, in a joyful, organized and creative way. This music is not only fun and rhythmic like other tapes for kids, but uses the instinctual aim of a gifted teacher turned musician, to weave education and music together, the way, years ago in another age, Mister Rogers was able to weave education and entertainment. by speaking directly to the diverse situations and conditions of children and saying, ‘Come on, life is full and challenging, and together we can learn how to be present, thinking, feeling, and creative!’ It's an irresistible message.”
— Nona Estrin, educator, artist, and author of “In Season: A Natural History of the New England Year” (University Press 2002)

Book-lover Mother Goose boogies with The Re-Bops

Re-Bop recordings have long reflected the value of vignette to add wisdom and humor to CDs. That love of storyline was taken one step further in 1999 when Vermont Center for the Book (an affiliate of the Library of Congress) requested custom-made Re-Bop recordings to supplement their Mother Goose Programs literacy materials.

An opportunity to discuss disabilities

Introducing a touchy subject

I lost my right hand and wrist a few years ago as the result of a medical mishap. Due to my limb loss, I feel uniquely qualified to broach the whole subject of disabilities in an open and playful way. The Dianaland Dress-Up in the For Kids Only section has a rack of hats and a "handbag" for my three replacement arms. This may be first web paperdoll with drag-and-drop prostheses for every occasion!

Kids ask me all kinds of questions all the time. They seem to accept such things more easily than we do, especially when given the opportunity to talk about it. I hope you agree this straightforward approach is a positive one for your children. It's intended as reassurance that such a misfortune doesn't stop a person from loving life, that humor helps, and that music is miraculous medicine!
