Book-lover Mother Goose boogies with The Re-Bops

Re-Bop recordings have long reflected the value of vignette to add wisdom and humor to CDs. That love of storyline was taken one step further in 1999 when Vermont Center for the Book (an affiliate of the Library of Congress) requested custom-made Re-Bop recordings to supplement their Mother Goose Programs literacy materials.

An opportunity to discuss disabilities

I lost my right hand and wrist a few years ago as the result of a medical mishap. Due to the loss of my limb, I feel uniquely qualified to broach the whole subject of disabilities in an open and playful way. The Dianaland Dress-Up in the “Just For Kids” section has a selections of hats and a choice of my three replacement arms. This may be first web paperdoll with drag-and-drop prostheses for every occasion!

Kids ask me all kinds of questions all the time. They seem to accept such things more easily than we do, especially when given the opportunity to talk about it. I hope you agree this straightforward approach is a positive one for your children. It’s intended as reassurance that such a misfortune doesn’t stop a person from loving life, that humor helps, and that music is miraculous medicine!
